Elaine E. Kolinski (Whelpley), 90, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Signature Healthcare Brockton surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 27, 2016. She was the wife of late Julian James Kolinski for 38 years. She was born and raised in Boston and graduated from the Boston Girls High School Class of 1944. Elaine was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton for many years. She worked as a customer service representative for Plymouth Rubber in Canton. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Elaine was a woman of great spirit and generosity who treasured her faith, family and friends. Whose only request is that she be lovingly remembered in your prayers and hearts.
Elaine was the loving mother of Jeanne E. Cunningham & her husband Thomas of Mansfield, James D. Kolinski of Stoughton and the late Joyce A. Kolinski. She was the loving nana to Amanda, Tommy and Michael. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn Whelpley and the sister of the late Louise Whelpley, Howard Whelpley, Herman Whelpley, Lee Whelpley, Rance Whelpley and Richard Whelpley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine's memory may be made to the Stoughton Food Pantry, Seaver St., Stoughton, MA 02072 or the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
