Elaine S. (Fitzgerald) Killgoar, a longtime resident of Stoughton, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, at the Brockton Hospital after a valiant battle of ovarian cancer. She was the dear wife to James D. Killgoar for 55 loving years. Born in 1947, she was the daughter of Madelyn White and step-daughter to George F. White, Jr., and was raised and educated in Stoughton, graduating Class of 1965. She went on to attend Henry O. Peabody Secretarial School, working as a secretary for John Hancock for several years, and continued working as an office manager at P&J Tire Service out of Stoughton and Easton before retiring. She enjoyed doing ceramics in her spare time, but above all her passion was spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband Jim, Elaine is survived by her children J. Dennis Killgoar Jr. and his wife Colleen of East Bridgewater, and Kristine E. Cox of Raynham. She was the grandmother to D.J. Cox, and Camryn and Mackenzie Killgoar. She was the sister-in-law to Paul C. and Barbara Killgoar, Robert and Doreen Killgoar, John Killgoar, Mary Ann Killgoar, Susan and Thomas Hargreaves, Thomas and Jennifer Killgoar and was predeceased by Jeanne Ohman. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Paula Smith, and dear friends Linda Woodward and Linda Spillane.
