Elaine M. (Grover) Kahler

Elaine M. (Grover) Kahler, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Accent Care Hospice in Dunedin, FL on Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was the wife of the late Alfred “Richie” White and Charles Kahler. Daughter of the late Charles E. and Melvina (Baxter) Grover, she was born and raised in Canton and attended Canton High School. She lived in several states and Germany for over 20 years as her husband Richie served in the military. She was a resident of Stoughton from 1972 until 2020 when she moved to an assisted living facility in Florida where she was a resident until her passing. Elaine was an office manager at Interstate Distributors in Quincy for 34 years before retiring in 2007. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elaine was the mother of Donna Pietrafitta and her husband Philip of Stoughton, Douglas White and his wife Wilma of Mansfield, Joseph White and his wife Connie of Killeen, TX, Joanne Crews of Trinity, FL, Steven White and his wife Patty of Schenectady, NY and the late Stanley White. She was the sister of the late Charles Grover, Margaret Wolffe, Donald Grover, Robert Grover, Kenneth Grover and Francis Grover. She was also preceded in death by her niece, Arlene Colp Doten. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 27 from 10 AM – 12 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 12 PM. Burial will be private.
