Edward P. Tenn, Jr., 58, died Friday, January 4, at the Kindred Hospital in Stoughton after long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was the husband of Donna M. (Hathaway) Tenn of Berkley, formerly of Taunton. Born in Brockton, he was raised in Canton and was a graduate of Canton Schools. Mr. Tenn was a resident of Taunton for many years. Mr. Tenn worked as a Buyer at Shaw's Supermarkets in West Bridgewater and Brockton for many years before retiring due to his illness. He was a former softball coach for Raynham Taunton Women's Softball for many years. He was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Richard M. Tenn of Berkley and Lynn Widger of NH. He was the brother of Mary Luis of ME, Jacqueline Thomas of Raynham, Beverly Corbett Reed of FL and the late Nancy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday Night, January 7 at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 5-8. Donations in Ed's memory may be made to ALS Family Charitable Foundation, POB 229, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. Burial will be private.
