Edward F. Mayo, Jr., 50, died Thursday, July 13, 2017. Born in Norwood, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. He worked as an electrician, working for several area companies as well as being self employed. He loved his work and took pride in a job well done. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, riding dirtbikes, working on cars and spending time with his son.
Mr. Mayo was the father of Michael J. Mayo of Stoughton. He was the beloved son of Edward F. Mayo of Stoughton and the late Mary A. (Mahoney) Mayo. He was the brother of Lynne M. Andrews and Suzanne Eagles and her husband Scott all of Canton, Mary Jo Gaffney and her husband Joseph of Stoughton and William E. Mayo of Norton. He is also survived by his granddaughter, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, July 21 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the Prayers from 4-7 PM.
