Edward A. Lodge, 76, died peacefully Nov. 6, at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. He was the husband of Joan L. (Forrest) Lodge. Born in Salem, he was raised in Brockton and attended Brockton Schools. He lived in Stoughton for the last 50 years. Mr. Lodge was a Veteran of the US Army. He was the owner of E. A. Lodge & Sons, a concrete form company, for many years, retiring several years ago. He was a member the Mallard Decoy Club in Brockton and a supporter of HandiKids in Bridgewater. An avid fan of the New England Patriots, in his free time, he enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Donna L. Tripp of Avon, Edward A. Lodge, Jr. USMC Ret., of VA, Lisa J. Lodge of Brockton and Michael J. Lodge of W. Bridgewater. He was the son of the late James R. Lodge and Hazel (Smith) Lodge. He was the brother of Janet Tarball of Mansfield, Robert Lodge and Eleanor Hyde both of CO, Gertrude LaMont of Brockton and the late William and James. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
