Edward W. Dubay, Jr., 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Kindred Hospital Northeast in Stoughton on Friday, July 27. He was the husband of the late Eleanor M. (Benson) Dubay. Born in Boston, he was educated in Milton schools and graduated from Northeastern University. He was a resident of Stoughton for 42 years after living in Whitman for 12 years. Mr. Dubay was a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army Air Corps and a Veteran of World War II. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Whitman for 12 years before retiring in 1970. He was Past Commander of the American Legion in Whitman and a member of the VFW Post 3389 in Randolph and Post 697 in Whitman.
Mr. Dubay is survived by his children, Pamela J. Rogers and her husband Paul of ME, Bonnie L. Olson and her husband Butch of Brockton, Edward E. Dubay, III and his wife Donna of VA and Cheryl Ann Guerrera and her husband Ernie of Easton. He was the brother of Mildred Smith of Milton and the late Robert Dubay and Dottie Pickering. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, July 30 at 6:30 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-6:30 PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Edward's memory may be made to the VFW Post 3389, 10 Highland Ave., Randolph, MA 02368.
