Edward A. Brawders, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Lysko) Brawders, who died August 1. Born and educated in Brockton, he was a graduate of Brockton Schools. Mr. Brawders was a resident of Stoughton for over 59 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. Mr. Brawders worked as a Salesman for International Staple and Machine for over 20 years, retiring in 2002. An avid sports fan, in his free time he enjoyed fishing and golfing at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton.
He is survived by his children, James E. Brawders and his wife Sandra of Whitman and Andrea L. Brawders of Stoughton, as well as his grandson, Gregory Brawders. He was the brother of the late Arlene Caldwell and Donald Brawders. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, September 10, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday, September 9, from 2-4 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Edward's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
