Eduino V. Eduardo, 92, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria J. (Martins) Eduardo for 65 years. Son of the late Jose V. and Maria J. (Carvelo) Eduardo, he was born and raised in Fajãzinha, Flores, Azores, Portugal. Eduino moved to Stoughton 52 years ago. He was a self employed carpenter who loved woodworking. He also enjoyed playing the saxophone, playing cards, watching fútbol and the Boston Bruins. He was a founding member of the Banda de São João at the Sociedade Filarmônica São João in Stoughton and a member of Clube Luis de Camões in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife, Eduino is survived by his sons, Jose M. Eduardo of Brazil and Duarte M. Eduardo and his wife Sarah Minsk-Eduardo of Hopkinton. He was the grandfather of Kevin Eduardo, Stephanie DeMello and her husband Roberto and Gabriel Minsk and great-grandfather of Jase DeMello. He was the brother of Deolinda Eduardo of Stoughton and was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 14 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
