Earl C. "Buddy" Ewing III, 49, died Wednesday Morning, September 3, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was the fianc of Sandra J. Sharpe of Raynham. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. He was also a graduate of the Henry O. Peabody School of Culinary Arts and attended Johnson & Wales College in Rhode Island. Mr. Ewing was a resident of Raynham for several years, previously living in Taunton and Stoughton. He worked as an Elevator Mechanic for numerous area firms and was a member of the Elevator Constructors Union, Local 4 in Boston for over 19 years. Previously, he worked as an Executive Chef at Polaroid in Norwood and Waltham for over 12 years. Mr. Ewing was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Middleboro, previously attending the Holy Family Church in Taunton and the First United Methodist Church in Stoughton. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group of Westport. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, all winter sports, camping, traveling and above all, spending time with his children, family and friends.

In addition to his fianc, he is survived by his children, Marisa L. Ewing and Earl C. Ewing IV both of Taunton and his step children Angie Sharpe of Dighton, Christine Sharpe of Taunton and Brittany Sharpe of Raynham. He was the son of Rosalie D. (Porter) Ewing and Earl C. Ewing Jr. of Stoughton. Mr. Ewing was the brother of Cheryl A. Malley of Halifax, Donna E. Fullerton and Pamela L. Parker both of Stoughton, Debra M. Cody of NY and Scott A. Ewing of Easton. He was the former husband of Jean M. (Bohmbach) Ewing of Taunton. He was the grandfather of Kayleigh M. Hatch and Ashley L. Westberg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including his godchildren Curtis Parker and McKenna Ewing.

Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 6 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM.
