Earl C. Ewing

Earl C. Ewing, Jr., 87, died Tuesday, January 5, at the Goddard Center in Stoughton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Rosalie D. (Porter) Ewing. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, he was raised and educated in Grand Rapids. Mr. Ewing was a proud WW II Veteran of the US Navy where he was a blimp pilot. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1945. Mr. Ewing was the owner and founder of Huggard & Ewing Motors in Stoughton from 1954 until his retirement in 1984. Prior to that he worked as a contractor and owned a lumber business. A loyal and dedicated family man, in his free time he enjoyed reading, traveling, sailing and camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Cheryl A. Malley of Halifax, Donna E. Fullerton of Weymouth, Pamela L. Parker of Stoughton, Debra M. Cody of NY, Scott A. Ewing of Easton and the late Earl C. "Buddy" Ewing III. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Private family services were held at the VA National Cemetery. Donations in Earl's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
