Douglas J. Roxburgh, 58, died at the Brockton Hospital on Monday, June 4. He was the beloved husband of Christine A. (Bunn). Born in Cambridge, the son of the late Thomas J. and Agnes P. (Martin), he was raised in Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Roxburgh was a member of the Stoughton Police Department for six years. He was injured in 1981 and permanently disabled. Before joining the Stoughton Police Force he was a Carpenters Apprentice with Boston Local 40. In his free time, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed painting motorcycles.
In addition to his wife Christine, he is survived by his brother of Thomas J. Roxburgh Jr. of East Bridgewater. He was the brother of the late Alice Roxburgh Booth.
Funeral prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Donations in Doug's name may be made to the charity of your choice. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
