Dorothy L. (Randall) Williams, 101, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Samuel E. Williams, Jr. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton Schools and the Brockton Business School. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton, prior to living in Brockton for the last few years. Mrs. Williams was the Director of several area nursing homes including the Wales Nursing Home in Brockton and the Doolittle Home in Foxboro. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Tropical Banana in Brockton. She retired many years ago. She attended the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Stoughton before joining the Avon Baptist Church in Avon.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her stepson Edward E. Williams and his wife Shirley of Avon, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Gladys Seymoure and her brother Carl Randall. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) on Saturday, February 15 at 11 AM. Visiting Hour will be held prior to the services from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Avon Baptist Church, 119 N. Main St., Avon, MA 02322.
