Dorothy C. (Rowen) O'Hare, died Sunday, January 20 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert J. M. O'Hare. Born in Winchester, she was a graduate of Winchester Schools and also a graduate of Felt and Tarrant Comptometer School. Mrs. O'Hare was a resident of Stoughton since 1954. Many years ago, she worked as an Executive Secretary at Boston and Maine Railroad and also at Merkert Enterprises in Canton. Mrs. O'Hare was very active at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton as a member of the Mass. Catholic Women's Guild and also as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a former member of the Stoughton Woman's Club.
She was loved and will be missed by her children; Robert J. M. O'Hare Jr. of Weston, Richard T. O'Hare of Stoughton, Maureen E. Lunsford of Bridgewater and Susan A. Kwedor of Manchester by the Sea. She was the sister of Elinor Howell of NC and the late Mary E. Murphy and is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joan D. O'Hare.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, January 24 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Due to floral restrictions at the National Cemetery, Dot's family has asked that Memorial Donations in her memory may be made to College of the Holy Cross, 1 College St., Worcester, 01601 or to Boston Catholic Television, PO Box 9196, 34 Chestnut St., Watertown 02471.
