Dorothy P. (Coxon) Morrissey, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at her home after a short illness. Born in Gateshead, England, she was raised and educated in England and came to the United States at age 12 and settled in Savin Hill, Dorchester. She was a graduate of the Boston Trade School. Mrs. Morrissey was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to Easton 3 years ago. She worked as a Hairdresser in several area nursing homes including at the Boston Home in Dorchester for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and volunteering at My Brother's Keeper in Easton.

She was the mother of John F. Morrissey, Michael F. Morrissey and F. Timothy Morrissey all of Easton, Patrick K. Morrissey of Stoughton and Dorothy M. Morrissey of Taunton. She was the sister of Peter Coxon of Plano, TX and the late Brenda Holler. She was the former wife of the late John D. Morrissey. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., Easton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to My Brother's Keeper, POBox 338, Easton, MA 02356.
