Dorothy Louise (Deveau) Morganelli, 84, a longtime resident of Sharon, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Daniel G. Morganelli for 65 years. Daughter of the late Archange and Marion (Hoey) Deveau, she was born in Boston. As a young lady, she moved to Dorchester and was raised and educated in Dorchester schools. She was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston. Dorothy was a resident of Sharon for 55 years. She worked as a receptionist at Sarnafil, Corp. in Canton and was known as the "Voice of Sarnafil" for 22 years before retiring in 2006. She enjoyed traveling the world, hand in hand with her husband, traveling to 17 countries. She loved music and dance; but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Dottie's unforgettable laugh and smile will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her children, Daniel R. Morganelli and his wife Linda of East Taunton, Dianne M. Morganelli of Sharon and David M. Morganelli and his wife Joyce of Holliston. She was the sister of the late Charles Deveau. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday, January 3, from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. Donations in Dottie's memory may be made in honor of her great granddaughter Adriana Sweeney to Children's Hospital Genetics & Metabolism Unit, 300 Longwood Ave., 4th Floor, Boston, 02115.
