Dorothy L. (Harris) Franceschi

Dorothy L. (Harris) Franceschi, 84, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at her home after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Franceschi. Born in Laconia, NH, she was raised in Belmont, NH and was a graduate of Laconia Schools. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1967. Mrs. Franceschi worked as a clerk for NYNEX and Verizon for many years, retiring several years ago. She was very active at the Faith Baptist Church in Stoughton for many years. She volunteered at the church in many capacities, but most notably as the organist and piano player, singing in the choir and as a Bible School Teacher. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, traveling and taking day trips.

She is survived by her children; Steven R. Franceschi and his wife Melissa of Stoughton and Richard P. Franceschi Jr. and his wife Laura of Brockton. She was the sister of Walter Harris of NH, Norman Harris of VT and the late George Harris and Laurel Harris. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily R. Franceschi, Richard E. Franceschi, Robert C. Franceschi and Dayna M. Franceschi, and her fiancé Bob Kowalsky.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Faith Baptist Church, 18 Stoughton St., Stoughton, MA 02072 on Thursday at 10 AM. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Faith Baptist Church at the above address.
