Dorothy M. (Sice) Doyle, 99, a longtime resident of Brockton, died peacefully surrounded by her family, at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton on Thursday, November 25. She was the wife of the late William E. Doyle. Born in Lynn, she was raised in New Hampshire and graduated from Sanborn Seminary Prep School, Class of 1929. She was also a graduate of Burdett Business School and Connolly Banking School. Mrs. Doyle was a resident of Brockton for 30 years after living in Stoughton for many years. She was an accountant for Woman's Apparel Shop and Park Dental Associates in Stoughton. She was a volunteer at RSVP, a program with Catholic Charities. Mrs. Doyle was a former member of the Caffrey Towers Tenant Assn., National Federation of the Blind and the Friars Club at Westgate Chapel. She was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Church in Brockton.
Mrs. Doyle is survived by her children, Rosemary Corcoran and her husband John of Brockton, Patricia MacConnell and her husband Peter of Walpole, Kathleen Pieroni and her husband John of Hooksett, NH, Eileen Doyle and her husband Michael Winkler of Philadelphia, PA and Michael W. Doyle and his wife Dawn of Taunton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, November 30 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton prior to the Mass from 9-10 AM. Burial will be private. Donations in Dorothy's name may be made to Perkins School for Blind, 175 N. Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02472.
