Dorothy P. Casano

Dorothy P. (Saya) Casano, 88, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph I. Casano. Born in Dorchester, she was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston. Mrs. Casano was a resident of Stoughton for many years. She worked at Butler Automatic in Norwood for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Joseph A. Casano and Cynthia L. Buckley both of Mansfield, Cheryl A. Noonan of Easton and Craig A. Casano of Buzzards Bay. She was the sister of Elizabeth Nuzzo of Norwood, Carolyn McAdams of Stoughton and the late Vincent Saya, Michael Saya, Josephine Comaschi and Elaine Riggs. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, November 26 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
