Dorothy E. (Lysko) Brawders

Dorothy E. (Lysko) Brawders, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Wednesday, August 1. She was the wife of 59 years of Edward A. Brawders. Born in S. Acton, she was a resident of Stoughton for the past 76 years. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1942. Mrs. Brawders was a secretary for Butler Plumbing in Brockton for 23 years before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed quilting, needlework and gardening.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brawders is survived by her children, James E. Brawders and his wife Sandra of Whitman and Andrea L. Brawders of Stoughton, as well as her grandson, Gregory Brawders. She was the sister of Lydia Burnett of FL and the late Elliot and Paul Lysko. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, August 6 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-4 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02884.
