Dorothy J. (Tennyson) Arno, 90, died Wednesday, April 8, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Guy Arno. She was a resident of Stoughton for several years and a resident of Copley at Stoughton for 2 years. Born in Chicago, IL, she was raised in Chicago and was a graduate of Chicago Schools. Mrs. Arno worked as a Cafeteria Worker at Arlington High School for several years. She was retired. She also worked as an Electronics Worker for the Electronics Corporation of America for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed giving to others, singing, traveling, socializing with friends and spending time with family.
She is survived by her son, Patrick F. Kelly and his wife Kate of Stoughton. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter Donna Paris. Mrs. Arno was the sister of Judd Sweatt of W. Bridgewater and the grandmother of Patrick F. Kelly Jr., Patrice Kelly, Laureen Kelly, Donna Paris, Christine Paris, Karen Paris and Tom McNulty. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to prayers from 10-11 AM. Burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
