Dorothy (Andrade) Andrews

Dorothy (Andrade) Andrews, 87, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Longmeadow of Taunton Nursing Home in Taunton after a period of failing health. Born in Garden City Park, NY, to John and Beatrice (Correia) Andrade, she was raised in Stoughton and attended Stoughton Schools and the Paul A. Dever School. She was a resident of Taunton for many years. Ms. Andrews worked as a Kitchen Worker at the 1882 House in Easton and also at several area restaurants for many years. She loved to knit and crochet and also loved caring for children.

She was the sister of Armand "Monty" Andrews of West Bridgewater, Virgil Andrews and his wife Janet of Easton and the late John, Manuel, Augustus, Moses and David Andrews and Lillian Gonsalves. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, including Dolores Audlee of Stoughton.

Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 10 at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 10AM-12PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to Special Olympics of MA 512 Forest St, Marlborough, MA 01752.
