Doris L. "Dolly" (Hazlett) Ronald, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021 at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton. She was the wife of the late George M. "Jock" Ronald. Born in Boston to the late Ruth (Ransom) and Charles R. Hazlett, she was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 35 years before moving to Taunton more than 30 years ago. While living in Stoughton, she worked at the Brockton Public Market (BPM) for many years. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Foxboro for many years and was an active member of their Relief Society. Dolly was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time, she enjoyed studying genealogy and spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Dolly is survived by her children Alan S. Ronald and his wife Deborah of Mashpee, Charles R. Ronald and his wife Ann of Canton, Brenda L. Blake and her husband James of TN and was predeceased by her son Douglas M. Ronald and his late wife Linda Lipson. She was the loving sister of James Hazlett of Brockton and is predeceased by Robert Hazlett, Earl Hazlett, Roberta Gregory, Harold Harvey, Paul R. Harvey, Edith Lowe, Athalie Cerrato and Naomi Vincent. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 15 from 10 AM–12 PM with Funeral Services at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Donations in Dolly's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice and Palliative Care, 321 Manley St, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
