Doris M. Dowd

Doris M. (Maloney) Dowd, 87, died at her granddaughter's home in Taunton on Thursday, July 17 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Dowd. Born and educated in Boston, Mrs. Dowd was a resident of Brockton for over 30 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Dowd is survived by her son, Michael Dowd, Retired Boston PD and his wife Theresa of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Pamela Dowd, Carla Dowd and Joseph Dowd, Boston FD and her great-grandchildren, Jason and Brady.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, July 22 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Doris' name may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River, MA 02720.
