Donna A. (Daly) Shockley, 57, a longtime resident of Middleboro, died at Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday, July 2 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Edward L. Shockley, Jr. Born in Chelsea, she was raised in Easton and graduated from Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1972. Mrs. Shockley was a resident of Middleboro for the past 26 years. She was a homemaker and beloved mother. She enjoyed reading, especially at the Cape Cod Canal and traveling. She loved all her family and spending time with them, especially her grandson, Julius.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Shockley is survived by her children, Lena M. Shockley of Berkley and Edward L. Shockley, III of Middleboro, as well as her grandson, Julius Boston Elliott. She was the daughter of Raymond Daly, Sr. and Helen (Boch) Daly of Easton. She was the sister of Raymond Daly, Jr. of Taunton, Glen Daly of Raynham, Michael Daly of MN, Diane Sherrick of Middleboro, Debbie Benjaminsen of Mansfield, Robert Daly of Easton and Christopher Daly of Bridgewater. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Donna's memory may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
