Donna Marie Camillo

Donna Marie Camillo, 69 years of age, formerly of Hyde Park and most recently residing in Canton, MA died suddenly on Thursday, May 30th after a valiant battle with cancer. Donna lived in Canton with her loving nephew, Duke Martin Jr and loving niece, Jessica Martin. Donna was born in Dorchester and was the daughter of the late Robert Camillo and Irene Melanaphy. 

Donna worked many years for Boston Financial Data Services and most recently, she was a cook at the local favorite, Cappy’s Tavern in Hyde Park before they closed. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was known for her love of playing Keno, Scratch Tickets, trips to Plainridge Casino! 

Family and friends were Donna’s world. She loved a gathering and an opportunity to make her famous egg salad and deviled eggs. Those were just a few of her great staples in the kitchen! Donna also loved a warm day on the deck with her favorite people (including the dogs), topped off with some Motown music in the background and ice cream! 

Donna is survived by her younger brother Richard Camillo and his wife Denise from Dedham, and was the sister to the late Diane Martin of Hyde Park and late Robert Camillo from Weymouth, survived by sister-in-law, Debra Camillo. 

Donna is also survived by her two loving daughters. Angela O’Brien and son-in-law, Jerry O’Brien from West Roxbury and Diane Camillo and David Wood from Quincy. Donna was the loving grandmother of Ryan Camillo, Emma Wood and Dakota, Leah, Olivia and Zoe O’Brien. Donna was also the aunt to Duke Martin Jr., Jessica Martin, Victoria Camillo, Kelly Camillo and the late Robert Camillo Jr,. 

She will be truly missed, but never forgotten.
