Donald C. Thomas, 90, a retired Boston Police Officer, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Wegeler) Thomas. Born and raised in Roxbury, he was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1969. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Thomas worked as a Patrolman for the Boston Police Department for over 40 years. After his retirement, he worked in the Distribution Warehouse for Reebok in Stoughton for over 15 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Boston Police Patrolman's Union.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his children, George C. Thomas of Canton, Donna J. Thomas of Stoughton, Timothy J. Thomas of Whitman and Robin T. Haygood of Norton. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Wakley and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 10, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM.
