Donald J. McEachron III, 60, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 23, 2024. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Donald J., Jr. and Avis E. (Vaslet) McEachron. Donny was a Class of 1983 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton. He was a truck driver and diesel engine mechanic at McLaughlin Bros. in Brockton for over 30 years. Donny was a member of the Stoughton Historical Society, the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton and a Jeep Club in the area. He was also a member of Grace Church. He was an avid snowmobiler in his younger years and loved trucks and tools. His greatest joys were his work, family, friends, Boston sports teams, being outdoors and his ever-loyal canine friend, Smushy.
Donny will be remembered most for always having a smile and looking at the bright side. He was a dedicated friend and cherished all those who were part of his life. He will be missed.
Donny was the brother of the late Nancy A. McEachron. Survived by his aunt and uncle Gail and Richard Hoeft, his nephews Craig McEachron and Brandon Rutter, as well as his many loving cousins, family and friends.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Irish Cultural Centre, 200 New Boston Drive, Canton on Thursday, April 11 from 1-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald’s memory may be made to Stoughton Historical Society, PO Box 542, Stoughton, MA 02072.
