Donald S. Kaligian, 73, a lifelong resident of Avon, died Sunday, June 10 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born in Weymouth on June 15, 1933, a son of the late Kenneth M. and Virginia I. (Stevens) Kaligian, he was raised in Avon and was a graduate of Avon High School. A veteran of the Korean Conflict he served in the US Marine Corps. A self-employed Truck Driver for over 40 years he was the proprietor of Kaltrux Earth Materials X-press of Avon. He was an avid car and truck enthusiast.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristen Foley; three brothers, Kenneth Kaligian Jr. of Foxboro, Dwight Kaligian of Easton and Raymond Kaligian of New Hampshire; nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Eugene Kaligian.
Funeral prayers will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park Street, Stoughton. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
