Dominic R. Ingemi, a longtime resident of Canton, age 79, passed away on March 23, 2025, at the Guardian Center in Brockton. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Dominic Ingemi and Irene (Jastremski) Ingemi, and was raised and educated in Canton, graduating Class of 1963, and was a graduate of Burdett College, Class of 1966. He enlisted in the Navy in his early 20’s after he graduated from high school and was a proud Navy Veteran. He worked at Anton’s Cleaner’s for over 30 years, becoming District Manager before he retired. He excelled in every area assigned to him and received his manager’s certificate with flying colors. Dom was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus of Stoughton, and was an antique car enthusiast, and especially loved his old Cadillacs in particular.
Dominic is survived by his children Michelle R. Fraser and her husband Joseph of Mattapoisett, Donna M. Nordbeck and her husband Ronald of North Attleboro, Melissa York and her husband Christopher of New Hampshire, and Dominic J, Ingemi and his wife Jennifer of North Attleboro. He is survived by his grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, Kyle, Brianna, Brittany, Christopher, Ashley, Emily, and Dominic “DJ”. He was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia Deegan and is survived by his former spouse Dianne (Bean) Ingemi.
Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Friday March 28th from 10-11 AM, followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dom’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://donorservices.alz.org/.
