Domingos DeAndrade, 92, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, May, 11, 2014. He was the husband of 60 years of Silvina (Madalena) DeAndrade. Son of the late Manuel and Justina (DeJesus) DeAndrade, he was born and raised in Madeira, Portugal. Mr. DeAndrade was a resident of Stoughton for the past 48 years. He worked for Shell Corp. in Curacao for 14 years before working at Plymouth Rubber in Canton for 20 years. He retired 30 years ago. Mr. DeAndrade was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton. He loved gardening, making wine with his brothers, walking and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DeAndrade is survived by his son, John E. DeAndrade, Stoughton FD and his wife Patricia of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Breanna Moore, Amy DeAndrade and Lucas DeAndrade. He was the brother of Salvina Maceda of Venezuela and the late Manuel, Argostino and Antonio DeAndrade, Conceicao Conduto, Isabel Goutarde and Maria Costa. He is also survived by his cousin, Joe DeAndrade of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, May 16 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
