Dolores A. Lane

Dolores A. (Danahy) Lane, 85, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Lane. Born and raised in Canton, she was a graduate of St. John's High School in Canton. Mrs. Lane was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years before moving to Taunton over 8 years ago. She worked in the Dietary and Housekeeping Department at the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton for over 20 years, retiring over 25 years ago. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her free time she enjoyed reading baking and, above all, spending time with her family and extended family.
Mrs. Lane was the mother of Susan Rieser of AZ, Linda Fallon, Nancy Lane, Debra Turok and her husband Adam, and Kathy Sheehan and her husband Paul all of Stoughton, Maureen Taylor and her husband Joseph of PA, Shaun Lane and his wife Christine of Raynham, Lisa Foster and her husband Frank of Taunton and the late Sheila Borgeson. She also was the mother in law of Rodney Borgeson of CA and the late Leo Rieser, Paul Fallon. Mrs. Lane was the aunt of Cherie Camillo and her husband David of Brockton as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Connor Lane. Mrs. Lane was the sister of Mary Kelleher of Canton, Edward Danahy of UT and the late Joseph Danahy, John Danahy, Gertrude Danahy and Eleanor Briscoe. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
