Dianne Helene (McCauley) Young, 78, died Monday, December 30, 2019 after a period of declining health. She leaves her beloved husband of 58 years, Thomas F. Young of Stoughton. Born in Boston, she was raised in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. Dianne was a resident of Stoughton for over 52 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. After raising her four daughters, she worked as an Executive Secretary in the construction industry for many years. Dianne was a talented cook and baker and was especially known for her amazing Sunday dinners. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her four daughters; Deanna Young and Laura Cusack and her husband David of Stoughton, Jacqueline Hill and her husband Adam of Millis, and Suzanne Young of Taunton. She was the beloved Grandma of Caroline and Alexandra Cusack, Thomas and Nicholas Hill, and Jennifer and Taylor Walsh. She is also survived by one brother, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her friend and former son-in-law Jim Walsh of Mattapoisett.
Visiting Hours will be held Friday, January 3 from 4-7 PM at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM.
