Derrill M. "Ted" DeMarino, Jr., 72, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home in Brooksville, FL. He was the beloved husband of 52 years of Geraldine E. (Drew) DeMarino. Born in Boston, the son of Derrill M. and Maryanne (Gilmore) DeMarino, he was raised in Roxbury and Canton. Mr. DeMarino was a graduate of Boston Schools. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. DeMarino worked as a Carpenter for the Carpenters Union, Local 218 in East Boston for many years and retired 10 years ago. Previously, he worked as a Custodian at Boston City Hall for over 20 years and earlier worked as a mechanic at his father's business, Ted's Gulf, in Roxbury. Ted was an avid fan of all of Boston's sports teams and, in his free time, enjoyed relaxing in the sun and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children; Derrill M. "Ted" DeMarino III and his wife Dina and Deo M. DeMarino and his wife Kelly all of Stoughton, Darlene M. Viveiros and her husband Jason of Kingston and Dean M. DeMarino and his wife Kim of Easton. He was the brother of Judith Bazarewski and Elizabeth Timilty both of FL and Robert DeMarino of Bridgewater. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, June 25, at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be Sunday, June 24, from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
