Denise E. (Gaudet) Kotlik, 50, died Tuesday, November 25 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of John A. Kotlik. Daughter of the late Paul and Josephine (Fortuna) Gaudet, she was born in Boston and was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. Mrs. Kotlik was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1976 and Mass. Bay Community College where she studied Early Childhood Education. She was a homemaker. She was active with the Stoughton Music Department (POPS). She taught CCD at Immaculate Conception Church and St. James Church both in Stoughton. Mrs. Kotlik was a former member of the Gibbons Elementary School PTA. She was active with BSA Troop 516 in Stoughton.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kotlik is survived by her loving children, Adam J. Kotlik and his wife Catherine, Matthew J. Kotlik and Joshua P. Kotlik all of Stoughton, as well as her loving grandchildren, Isabella and John "Jack" Kotlik. She was the loving sister of Joanne Sousa of Taunton, Paula Aumendo of NJ, James Gaudet of Middleboro, Stephanie Bono of Scituate and Debra Gaudet of ME. She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews. She was Nee Nee to many children.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 29 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Denise's name may be made to The Neely House at Tufts Medical Ctr., 750 Washington St., NEMC #0716, Boston, MA 02111 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
