Delfina P. Pranic

Delfina P. (DeMatos) Pranic, 60, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Michael Pranic. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she came to the US in 1979 and settled in Stoughton. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 25 years before moving to New Bedford 6 years ago. She was a member of Clube Luis de Camoes in Stoughton. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ivan M. Pranic of New Bedford and Kathryn L. Dacier and her husband Briar of RI. She was the sister of Nelson P. DeMatos of Portugal. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lilliana Dacier, Isabella Dacier and Logan Dacier.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 9 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
