Delda H. (Herrick) White, 75, died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Robert O. White. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, MN and earned her Masters Degree in English Literature at the City College of New York. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1994, previously living in Dorchester Lower Mills for 20 years. She worked as the Choir Director and Organist at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Dorchester for many years, retiring several years ago. She was a member of the Olde Stoughton Musical Society for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and watching football.
Mrs. White is survived by her brothers; Lance Herrick of WI and Kenneth Herrick of WA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the First Congregational Church, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton on Wednesday, November 29 at 11 AM. A Visiting Hour will be held at the church prior to the service from 9-10 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
