Debra J. (Sousa) (Ellis) Miller, 65, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a short illness. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1971. She was also a graduate of Curry College, the New England Institute of Embalming and Funeral Directing and the Goddard Hospital School of Radiology. For many years, she worked as an X-Ray Technician at several area hospitals, including the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton, the Good Samaritan and Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton, the Carney Hospital in Dorchester and at the Falmouth Hospital. She retired several years ago. Ms. Miller was a resident of Attleboro for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, vacationing with her family and spending time at the beach.
Ms. Miller is survived by her three children; Brendan L. Ellis and his wife Lauren of Millis, Sean K. Ellis and his wife Dawn of Falmouth and Ashley K. Miller and her boyfriend Thomas Gill of Chelsea. She was the daughter of Mary Ann (Portugal) Sousa of Stoughton and the late Louis Sousa. Ms. Miller was the grandmother of Kayla Howland, Alicia Ellis and Louie Ellis. She was the sister of Lisa Coppola of Lakeville and is also survived by her former husband Andrew Miller of Assonet and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held in the Assonet Burial Ground, S. Main St., Assonet on Monday, November 12 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday from 3-6 PM.
