Debra E. (Fisher) Mendonca

Debra E. (Fisher) Mendonca, 74, died peacefully at Oak Hill Healthcare in Middleboro on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Clement F. and Verna (Mara) Fisher, she was born in Brockton, raised and educated in Stoughton and Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School, Class of 1970. She was a loyal employee of Verizon in Boston and Braintree, retiring in 1998 after 28 dedicated years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and playing Bingo but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Debra is survived by her children, John A. Mendonca, Jr. of Florida and Colleen E. Fraga and her husband Paul of South Carolina. She was the sister of Brenda Roy of North Carolina, Edna Fisher and Andrew Fisher both of Stoughton, Clem Fisher of Brockton, Bruce Fisher of Weymouth, David Fisher of Rockland and the late Donna Fisher Figueroa and Crystal Ciulla and her surviving husband James of Raynham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Friday, May 2 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
