Deborah A. (Fowler) Hubler, 51, died Monday at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Norwood, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1984. She graduated from the Newton Wellesley School of Nursing. Debbie worked as a Registered Nurse and Pediatric Hospice Worker for several years. She lived in Brockton for the past 2 years and previously lived in Scituate for 5 years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, motorcycle riding, lighthouses, spending time at the beach, and being with her beloved cat, Baby.
Debbie is survived by her son Matthew J. Hubler and his father Peter Hubler of Stoughton. She was the daughter of the late James H. "Unk" Fowler, Stoughton FD, Ret. and Barbara A. (Kelley) Fowler. Debbie was the sister of Donna M. Kilday and her husband Richard of Stoughton, Paul J. Fowler and his wife Norma of S. Easton, and Peter H. Fowler and his husband Todd of Marshfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as her longtime boyfriend Gerry Lang of Brockton.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 31 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Boston Children's Hospital, in memory of Deborah Hubler.
