Dean M. "Pooka" Puljanowski, 61, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Saturday, February 6, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mr. Puljanowski was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked for the Town of Stoughton in the Water Department for several years and also worked for E. W. Grenon Moving Company in Stoughton. He was a member of the Amvets in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, reading, watching movies and following the local sports teams.
Mr. Puljanowski was the father of David N. Puljanowski and Jillian G. Puljanowski and her husband Kevin Layton all of Stoughton. He was the brother of Regina Snuffer of NH, John P. Puljanowski of Stoughton, Leo Puljanowski of Lakeville and the late Martin L. Puljanowski. He is also survived by his former wife, Nancy (Young) Puljanowski of Stoughton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, February 12, at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, February 11, from 5-8 PM. Burial will follow at VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
