David T. O'Meara

David T. O'Meara, 82, of Avon, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 4 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Son of the late Edward and Margaret (Whalen) O'Meara, David was a caring and generous spirit with a unique vision of life, giving far more to his loved ones than he expected to receive in return. A lifelong student of horse racing, he was a "regular" at Suffolk Downs during much of his retirement. He enjoyed cooking his special spaghetti sauce and signature cheeseburgers for family and friends.

David will be greatly and sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife, Grace O'Meara of Avon and mourned by his daughter Karen O'Meara Tappe of Ridgefield, CT, his brothers, Eugene and Paul both of MA, Bill of FL and the late James, his sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was also a longtime friend of the late Elinor Reardon of Boston.
