David Louis Guglia passed away on February 7th comfortably at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Mary Evelyn (Price) Guglia and the dear husband to Margaret “Anne” Guglia for 43 years. He was raised in North Easton, MA and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1963. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton for over 47 years and was a longtime employee at the Sears Roebuck Distribution Center in Boston. He also kept busy working in his retirement years for Kindred Pharmacy and volunteering at New England Sinai Hospital.
Dave loved to travel and study maps. He was the family’s official tour guide and he enjoyed planning the trips they would take. His favorite adventures included exploring many of the country’s national parks. Dave also enjoyed cheering on all the Boston sports teams. He took great pride in keeping fit and enjoyed hiking in Bird Street Conservation Area and Borderland State Park.
Dave is survived by his brother Dale and his wife Claire of Rowley, MA as well as his sister Carmela "Kay" Amirault of Plymouth, MA. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his son David and his wife Jennifer of Stoughton, MA as well as his daughter Marie Pino and her husband Chris of Sandwich, MA. He was beloved by his five grandchildren: Ruby, Joey and Ella Paige Guglia and Sophia and Caitlyn Pino as well as his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, February 13 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave‘s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
