David A. Dirubbo, 76, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jacqueline A. (McNeil) Dirubbo for 51 years. Son of the late Peter and Nellie (Schmidt) Dirubbo, he was born in Lowell and raised in Chelmsford. David was a graduate of Chelmsford High School and Bentley College and earned his Master's Degree from Suffolk University. He was a resident of Stoughton for 52 years. David was the owner of D & D Financial in Stoughton. He enjoyed bike riding, traveling and cars but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David J. Dirubbo and his wife Catrina, Anthony P. Dirubbo and his wife Kelly and Paula J. Donovan and her husband Matthew all of Norwell. He was the grandfather of Peter, Alina, Anthony Jr., Morgan, Jake, Joey and Braeden. He was the brother of Joyce Ham of Chelmsford and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 30 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, W. Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to Make-A-Wish, 1 Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
