David P. Carpenter, 50, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1984. Mr. Carpenter worked as a Foreman and was an employee of the Stoughton Department of Public Works for over 15 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Town Spa Restaurant, his family's business. He was an avid Boston Sports fan and in his free time, he enjoyed playing and coaching softball and spending time with his daughters.
David was the beloved father of Hannah R. Carpenter of Stoughton and Cailee N. Carpenter of Brockton. He was the son of Beverly A. (Phillips) Cave of Stoughton and her late husband, Philip Cave and the late George P. Carpenter. He was the brother of Michael P. Carpenter and Jeffrey S. Carpenter, both of Stoughton. He was the step-brother of Peter and Brian Cave. David was also survived by a niece, 2 nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and his girlfriend, Trisha Passamonti.
Funeral Service will be held from the Grace Church, 101 Wales Ave., Avon, MA 02322 on Wednesday, March 29 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in David's memory may be made to the Grace Church at address above.
