Daniel M. Webster, 68, of Falmouth, formerly of Stoughton, Halifax and Brockton, died March 9, 2015 at the Falmouth Hospital in Falmouth. He was the husband of the late Susan (Kell) Webster. Dan, known by everyone as "Uncle Dan", was the son of the late John and Ethel (Weston) Webster. He was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools and Maine Central Institute. He also attended New England College. He served in the National Guard and worked in the banking, newspaper and construction industries and also was a professional fundraiser. During the last several years, Dan served on the Boards of the Brockton and Falmouth Housing Authorities. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the many successes of his favorite Boston Teams. His interests were broad and included loving family and friends, animals, politics, old clocks, fishing and boating. He enjoyed keeping his family and friends on their toes with his subtle and humorous stories and remarks.
Dan is survived by his adored daughter Leigh Curtis and her husband Rob and his beloved granddaughters Chandler and Abigail Curtis all of Bow, NH. He was the brother of John "Jay" Webster and his wife Diane of Pembroke, David Webster and his wife Nancy of N. Falmouth and Gayle Webster and her husband Paul Vincent of E. Falmouth. He is also survived by his sister in law Reverend Susan Webster of Hanson and 9 beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2 PM at the Winthrop Congregational Church, 16 North Franklin St., Holbrook. All are welcome.
