Daniel J. Rosa

Daniel J. Rosa, 62, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 29. He was the husband of the late Kathleen J. (Gregory) Rosa. Born and raised in Bridgewater, he was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School, Class of 1965. He was a resident of Stoughton for 45 years. Mr. Rosa was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Brockton for many years before retiring in 1999. He was a life member of the DAV Commander's Club and coached West Little League in Brockton for many years.
Mr. Rosa was the brother of Loretta Medina of Bridgewater, Mary Gendron of FL, Donna Gregory of East Bridgewater and the late Robert Rosa. He was the step-father of Anthony Thompson of HI, Ryan and Sean Thompson both of Taunton and Katie Thompson of Brockton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at St. Michael's Cemetery, E. Spring St., Avon on Thursday, December 9 at 11 AM. Funeral Prayers will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM.
