Daniel T. Pessia, Sr.

Daniel T. Pessia, Sr., age 75, a longtime resident of Stoughton, previously of Brockton, Holbrook, and Plymouth, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the dear husband to Gayle (Andresen) Pessia for over 50 loving years. Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late Aurelio “Riley” Pessia and Carpinella “Cuppy” (Zuccarino) Pessia. He was a graduate of Holbrook High School, Class of 1967, attended Bryant and Stratton College studying business and IT, Fitchburg State University and Massasoit Community College. Dan held various job titles, those that included, working as a General Manager for wholesale grocery/supermarket for James Ferrera and Sons for 30 years, IBM as a Regional Sales Manager, DataMax System Solutions as National Account Sales Manager, Microsoft as a Product Manager, Branch Manager for Scholastic Books, Founder/President for Mobile Advertising Concepts, General Manager for Rome/Health Training Center, Founder/Partner for my Lead Connection, Director at DeWalt Institute for Medical Training, President of New England Computer Service, Substitute Teacher at Blue Hills Regional High School, Canton Senior Baseball Coach, Stoughton Town Meeting Representative and worked on the Allied Health Advisory Board at South Shore Vocational Tech School. Dedicating himself to each job he worked towards, he continuously showcased his skills and knowledge for the many hats he wore in each job title. 

Dan was affiliated with multiple clubs and organizations such as, Rising Star Lodge holding the title of Master Mason, Civil Air Patrol, Brockton Planning and Advisory Board, Plymouth County Conservation Commission, Chairman on Stoughton Planning Board, Old Colony Transportation Committee, Mass Area Planning Council, Stoughton Zoning Board, Housing Committee, and Town Meeting Representative (Precinct 3), Eastern Mass Corvette Club, South Shore Antique Auto Club, Ocean Bay Studebaker Car Club, and was especially involved in the Stoughton Fish and Game Association as a past President. Staying involved within the community, Dan made many friends and connections throughout the years of his life. An avid fisher, he liked spending time out on the water hoping to catch a bite. He enjoyed going to the gun range with his buddies, spending time at his lake house in Plymouth with family, and was an aviation enthusiast and enjoyed building model aircrafts. Above all, his biggest passion was his family and spending time with loved ones. He will be missed by his friends and peers at his weekly Stanney’s breakfast club in Holbrook.

In addition to his wife Gayle, Dan is survived by his son Daniel T. Pessia, Jr., and his wife Christina M. (Perella) Pessia of South Weymouth. He was the “Umpa” to Aubrianna Elizabeth Pessia, Luca Mariano Pessia, and Dante Giovanni Pessia. He also leaves behind his brother Michael W. Pessia of Bourne, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Thursday December 19th from 8:30-10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
