Daniel F. "Bud" Lordan 91 of Humarock and Port Charlotte, FL, died Tuesday January 5, 2010 at Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate. Born in Malden July 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Daniel and Annie (Cullinane) Lordan. He was the husband of Helen (Ballem) to whom he was married for 65 years. Mr. Lordan was a graduate of B.C. High School in Dorchester. During WWII he served in the Army Air Corps. He received his Bachelor degree from Suffolk University and his Masters from Boston State College. He worked in the Boston school system as a teacher and later an adjustment counselor for a total of 40 years. During the 1950s and 60s he also owned a Donut Shop on Rte 138 in Canton. He lived in Canton until retiring to Humarock in 1983. In 1982 he and his wife began spending their winters in Port Charlotte, FL.
Besides his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Daniel of Marshfield, Robert of Randolph, Thomas of Cranford, NJ, and his daughter, Jeanne Hay of Weymouth, his 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Michael and Richard Lordan.
A funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 9 at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St. Canton at 10:00am. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7pm. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery Canton.
