Daniel Joseph "Joe" Lehan, Sr., 97, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, after a brief illness. He was the husband of 67 years of the late Helene T. (Madden) Lehan. Born and raised in Stoughton, he was a longtime resident of Stoughton and Green Harbor, Marshfield. For several years, he enjoyed wintering in Florida. He was a retired shipfitter for General Dynamics in Quincy. An avid baseball fan, he played second base for the Bowling Green Barons, from 1937-1940 and then played in a Hobo league out of Quincy from 1940-1948. Mr. Lehan was a longtime Little League Baseball coach and was privileged with having the Lehan Field named in his honor. He was one of the first members of the Stoughton Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots, playing golf, cards, surfing the internet and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lehan is survived by his daughter, Joyce Lehan Feodoroff and her husband Bruce of Easton, his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Lehan of FL and his six grandchildren, Daniel Lehan and his wife Lisa, Jennifer Markham and her husband Daniel, William Lehan, Kathleen Walters and her husband Ed, Carolyn O'Rourke and Bruce Feodoroff and his wife Kate. He was the great-grandfather of Connor, Zachary and Madison Lehan, Delaney, Hannah and Daniel Markham, William Lehan, Jr., Alexander, Christopher and Sarah Walters, Patrick O'Rourke, Oscar, Peter and Olivia Feodoroff. He was the brother of the late Margaret Johnson and Anna O'Neil. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Daniel Joseph Lehan, Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, April 15 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 3-6 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
